About

Meet Stacy Lefton

Stacy Lefton was born and raised in Cincinnati. She graduated from Seven Hills and then went on to The Ohio State University. After graduating she worked for Federated Department Stores before going on to law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While in law school she interned with Legal Aid in Lansing, Michigan. There she worked on divorce and landlord tenant cases. Returning home to practice law was always the goal. She grew up with a strong sense of family and community. The first place she ever worked was her family’s camera store, Provident Camera. Stacy has shown a commitment to public service, working for Hamilton County for over twenty years. First as a law clerk for Judge Thomas Crush. When he retired, she worked as a law clerk for Magistrate Bernat. Then accepted a position as an assistant prosecutor at the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, where she has become a skilled and experienced attorney who has earned the respect of her peers.

Stacy has worked in three divisions in the prosecutor’s office and is now an assistant team leader in the felony criminal division. In this role she has had the opportunity to handle some of the most serious cases. Most recently she was involved in “The Snyder Case.” This was a six-week jury trial of a couple from Springfield Township who adopted a total of six children from China. The last three children they adopted were all boys. These young children had only been in the country six months when the Snyder’s killed one of the boys. Through the murder investigation it was determined that they had also abused the other children. At the end of the six-week trial the Snyder’s were found guilty of the murder of their adopted son and for abusing their other children. Stacy received the Outstanding Service Award from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Mayerson Center in honor of Child Abuse Awareness Month in connection to this case and the Kick Ass Prosecutor of the year 2023 from her office.
